Profile

Azadeh Amirzad is a lecturer in English language education whose work focuses on English language teaching and assessment in higher education. She teaches courses in academic writing, English for professional communication, and integrated language skills, with an emphasis on preparing students to use English effectively in academic and professional environments. In addition to teaching, she contributes to course development and language assessment initiatives, including the design and implementation of English proficiency and placement assessments aligned with CEFR. Her work supports institutional efforts to enhance language proficiency benchmarking and improve student learning outcomes. Azadeh’s research focuses on learner autonomy, grit, and willingness to communicate in English within EFL contexts. Her work also examines the role of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, in education and language learning. More broadly, her research explores psychological and sociocultural factors that influence language learning in multilingual classrooms.
